Rector's Page Dear Visitor, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church welcomes you! We are a family sized parish with all the joys of a small church. We have folks of all ages who worship weekly and participate in all of the activities our small church offers. We are the only Episcopal Church in Campbell County. This parish feels the call of God and God’s only son, Jesus the Christ through community service and mission, knowing that our gratitude for the gifts we have only serve to strengthen the presence of Christ in the community. We like to think of ourselves as the small church with the big heart as we seek to serve the issues of justice and to seek and serve Christ in all persons based on our baptismal covenant. We invite you to join us for worship … or for one of our social gatherings. (We have the best coffee hours around. Folks just don’t seem to want to go home!) We are in full communion with members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and, because there is not a Lutheran Church in Altavista, we welcome Lutherans to worship with us as well.
