Christian  Education

While St. Peter’s is more like a large family, one of its blessings is that it is a family of folks of all ages … from 3 to 93! For that reason we have a special Sunday School program following the “Living the Good News” series. It is based on Sunday’s gospel. The rationale is that it is a good thing to offer the same lessons in church and Sunday School so that if a family wishes to discuss the Gospel at dinner, all ages can participate as they are able to understand.  Sunday School meets on the second and third Sundays; children will leave the service at the appointed time before the sermon.

On the first Sunday of each  month, our rector meets with the children attending Sunday School because she believes that it is vital to the church that the children have a direct relationship with their priest. During this time, they talk about what is on their minds, where God was in the week and always; our conversations lead us to very interesting places!

The Adult Education Class is currently studying the Book of Revelation, which will continue for some time. Adult Education meets after the worship service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.

During the summer, our "after worship" Christian Education is suspended, but occasionally the children are called together during worship for fun activities.  However, Adult Education continues in the form of the evening Bible Study groups.  The Men's and Women's Bible study groups meet on Tuesday nights from 5:30 - 6:30. Both groups meet at the church.  The women are investigating the "Bad Girls of the Bible" and enjoying every minute of it!
